Eric Mitchell is a career law enforcement executive with more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience, currently serving in a senior leadership capacity.

Rising through the ranks from Confinement Officer to Chief of Police, Eric has led at every level of the profession — spanning frontline operations, supervisory command, executive oversight, and municipal administration. This breadth of experience has built deep expertise in risk management, policy development, and organizational leadership.

Throughout his career, Eric has directed security operations for events ranging from community functions to large-scale public gatherings, requiring disciplined planning, interagency coordination, and executive-level decision-making to ensure safe, controlled environments. He has also led initiatives focused on strengthening neighborhood safety and advancing long-term community security strategies.

As a member of his local School Safety Commission and various advisory boards, Eric works proactively to strengthen protective measures for educational institutions and other critical community assets. Over the course of his career, he reviewed countless security assessments — and identified a persistent gap between minimal compliance and truly comprehensive threat preparedness. Cornerstone Risk & Threat Solutions, LLC was founded to close that gap.

His approach emphasizes operational realism, defensible methodology, and actionable recommendations tailored to each organization's unique risk profile. With executive-level experience in government budgeting and administration, Eric understands the fiscal realities organizations face — and prioritizes layered, strategically phased solutions that strengthen protection while remaining fiscally responsible.
