Dawson Brown is a retired Department of Homeland Security Special Agent and co-founder of Cornerstone Risk & Threat Solutions, bringing more than 14 years of federal law enforcement, intelligence, and protective security experience to organizations seeking proactive risk mitigation strategies. Throughout his career, he supported complex security operations and threat-reduction initiatives for nationally recognized events and high-profile venues, including the Indianapolis 500, NBA All-Star activities, and NFL events. His operational background spans anti-terrorism investigations, counter-proliferation efforts, drug interdiction, and intelligence-driven security planning. Dawson is also specialized in target hardening, vulnerability assessments, and operational risk reduction.

As a graduate of elite programs at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Dawson holds several advanced certifications. These include Active Shooter Response, ALERRT rapid response training, and protective operations certified through the United States Secret Service. These were supported by extensive, multi-agency task forces that focused on public and private sector security practices.

Complementing his federal experience, Dawson serves as a subject matter expert instructor in Homeland Security and Public Safety at Ivy Tech Community College.  Here, he prepares future professionals in threat assessment, emergency preparedness, and crisis response planning. Known for translating federal-level security practices into practical, scalable solutions, he advises corporations, communities, and organizations on strengthening safety posture, while maintaining operational continuity.

His academic achievements include several degrees, with a Magna Cum Laude distinction. His leadership as Vice President of Indiana’s largest homeowners’ association, reflects his commitment to community-focused security solutions that balance protection with quality of life.
